Chi Huo could no longer stop the spaceship, but Angus had a way. At a glance, he discerned the spaceship's design principle: powerful defenses but insufficient propulsion. He suggested to Chi Huo that the Chi Dragons outside the atmosphere should not attack the ship directly, but instead weave themselves into a giant net to ensnare it.

This tactic proved effective. Due to the time constraints, Huai Huai had not equipped the ship with heavy offensive weaponry, and the simple attacks were no match for the Chi Dragons. Angus’s plan effectively trapped the ship; while not a total immobilization, it certainly ensured they could not escape for the time being.

Ye Feng panicked at the sight and hurriedly attempted to teleport to help, but Chi Huo had already sealed the surrounding space. With no other options, Ye Feng followed a suggestion from Huai Huai and pulled out two flashbangs. Since this type of weapon had not been used by the Huaxia forces since the war began, Chi Huo looked at the devices in Ye Feng’s hands with disdain.

The moment the flashbangs detonated, Chi Huo realized his mistake. The blinding light left his vision blank, rendering him temporarily blind. The Chi Dragon elders were in similar states, and the surrounding lesser Chi Dragons fared even worse. Seizing the opportunity, Ye Feng used his thrusters to break through the encirclement and dash toward the spaceship.

Chi Huo’s recovery was faster than Ye Feng had anticipated. By the time Ye Feng had eliminated five Chi Dragons, Chi Huo was already closing in.

With the combined efforts of Long Xiaotian and Ye Feng, the spaceship finally saw a glimmer of hope. However, as Chi Huo arrived, both Ye Feng and Long Xiaotian became prime targets. Chi Huo and Chi Yan launched a simultaneous assault on Long Xiaotian, while Ye Feng took the chance to finish off a few more Chi Dragons blocking the ship’s path, allowing it to return to its original trajectory.

Unfortunately, some were determined to prevent the ship's escape. The elders behind Chi Huo surrounded Ye Feng and landed two heavy blows, leaving him severely wounded.

"Ye Feng, your energy reserves are nearly depleted! Retreat!" Huai Huai urged anxiously.

"I want to retreat, but if I do, what happens to the people on the ship? I can’t just watch them die!" Ye Feng replied desperately.

"But—" Huai Huai tried to argue, but Ye Feng cut him off. "Enough, say no more. Just push the ship’s power to the limit. These Chi Dragons are a nuisance!"

"I’ll try," Huai Huai conceded.

Increasing the power had little effect; the Chi Dragons’ blockade was too strong, and Ye Feng was now trapped in the encirclement, unable to clear the net. Long Xiaotian’s situation was even worse. Besieged by Chi Huo, Chi Yan, and six elders, he was in constant danger and soon sustained injuries. One blow led to another, and within moments, he was critically wounded.

Inside the ship, Long Yunfeng could no longer stand by. After Long Xiaotian took a heavy blow, she used their marital skill to teleport him back into the spaceship. The strike had hit Long Xiaotian’s abdomen, near his inner core, rendering him unconscious.

Ye Feng was now the only one left outside. He was spent, and the situation had reached its nadir: the ship could not move, and those capable of fighting the Chi Dragons were incapacitated.

Ye Feng floated weakly in the air, watching the stalled ship, filled with a sense of bitter defiance. Is this the end? I refuse to accept this!

"Ye Feng, there is one last option!" Huai Huai said urgently.

"What is it?" Ye Feng asked weakly.

"Jettison the ship's armor. It will triple our power output. I calculate we should be able to shake off the Chi Dragons, but the ship's defensive strength will drop significantly. It might not withstand further attacks," Huai Huai explained rapidly.

"There is no other way. Do it!" Ye Feng said, then used his thrusters to fly toward the ship. The journey was not easy. Although the shedding of the ship's armor created a massive disturbance that distracted the surrounding Chi Dragons, including Chi Huo, Ye Feng was still intercepted and knocked unconscious by Chi Huo. Fortunately, he fell near the ship, and Huai Huai opened an emergency hatch and pulled him inside.

Though Ye Feng was safely aboard, the momentary delay allowed the Chi Dragons to surround the ship again. There was truly no way out now; the ship’s current defenses could not withstand their onslaught.

When Ye Feng was brought before Amy and the others, he had already regained consciousness.

"Brother Feng, are you alright?" Amy asked nervously.

"I’m fine. Huai Huai, is there any other way?" Ye Feng asked, fully aware of the situation outside.

"There’s nothing left. The engine is at maximum output, but those ten seconds we spent saving you allowed them to plug the gap. The chance is gone," Huai Huai said.

"I can’t accept this!" Ye Feng said in agony.

Huai Huai sighed.

"Brother Feng, at least we are together," Amy said with a smile.

"Yes..." Ye Feng whispered.

"This is..." Huai Huai’s voice suddenly rang out.

"What is it?" Ye Feng asked hurriedly.

"We’re saved!" Long Xiaotian added.

"What do you mean, saved?" Ye Feng asked, puzzled.

"I’m scanning a massive number of biological signatures approaching from deep space," Huai Huai said.

"My signal went through! I can sense the presence of my kin—so many of them!" Long Xiaotian said excitedly.

This was undoubtedly the best possible news for Ye Feng, but unfortunately, the ship’s propulsion system had been damaged by the Chi Dragons, and it began to fall toward the atmosphere.

"Huai Huai! What’s happening?" The violent shaking panicked Ye Feng.

"The engine was damaged by the Chi Dragons. We’re in trouble," Huai Huai said, equally panicked. There was no time for repairs, and the Chi Dragons wouldn't allow it anyway.

At that moment, Long Xiaotian’s father led the Sky Dragon army into the atmosphere. Seeing the falling ship and the encircling Chi Dragons, he immediately realized the gravity of the situation and ordered an assault and rescue.

Upon seeing the arrival of the massive Sky Dragon fleet, Chi Huo panicked and abandoned the ship to flee. However, the entire Sky Dragon clan had mobilized; they would not let the Chi Dragons escape. Within minutes, the Chi Dragons on Earth were annihilated. Chi Huo might have lived longer, but he tried to hide among the common Chi Dragons to slip away. He had not anticipated the unprecedented level of hatred the Sky Dragons held for his kind. Long Xiaotian’s father ordered no survivors, and Chi Huo was killed before he could even utter a word.

The spaceship, escorted by twenty Sky Dragons, landed slowly. The crisis on Earth was resolved.

When Ye Feng, supported by Amy, met the Sky Dragon Clan Leader, Long Taixiang, the leader was deeply moved; Long Xiaotian had already briefed him on Ye Feng’s situation.

"You are Ye Feng?" Long Taixiang asked with emotion.

"I am. And you must be the Clan Leader of the Sky Dragons?" Ye Feng ventured.

"Indeed. Long Xiaotian has told you about our clan, hasn't he?" Long Taixiang said with a smile.

"Yes, I know everything."

"And what do you think?" Long Taixiang asked, full of hope.

"I’m afraid I cannot agree to your request right now," Ye Feng replied.

"Why?" Long Taixiang asked in surprise.

"You know the situation on Earth. I must find a way for my people to survive, so I don’t have time to help you yet. Besides, you live for tens of thousands of years; a few years won't make a difference," Ye Feng explained.

"In my view, Earth’s environment is effectively ruined. Why not migrate your entire population to the planet next to our Sky Dragon Star? It is very habitable and will ensure your people live well. We can also look after you," Long Taixiang suggested.

Ye Feng pondered for a moment before Huai Huai whispered, "Ye Feng, Earth’s resources are nearly exhausted. Humans can no longer live here. You should accept Long Taixiang’s proposal."

"Are you sure?" Ye Feng asked silently.

"Absolutely. That bastard Angus has destroyed Earth; we have no other choice," Huai Huai affirmed.

Ye Feng thought it over and said to Long Taixiang, "Very well. However, I need to repair the ship and replenish its energy, and I have some personal matters to attend to. Can we wait two months?"

"Of course. Is there anything we can assist you with?" Long Taixiang asked.

"Not for now, thank you," Ye Feng said politely.

"You are too kind," Long Taixiang replied, then departed with Long Xiaotian to spend time with his grandson.

...

Two months later, the spaceship carrying the remnants of humanity left Earth for the blue planet beside the Sky Dragon Star. Ye Feng named it the Planet of Hope. The humans began a new life there, sparking new stories.

As for the total scoundrel Angus, Ye Feng found him before leaving Earth. He did not kill him but instead crippled his internal energy, turning him into a complete invalid. He also brought the people who had been oppressed by Angus onto the ship.

Without his power, Angus’s life was miserable, especially at the hands of the commoners he had bullied, who now harbored deep hatred for him. Ye Feng watched as they slowly tortured him to death.

As for Fuchou, his fate was even worse. He had become a vampire and was later bitten by a Chi Dragon. The saliva of the Chi Dragon contained an enzyme that disrupted his cellular balance, leaving him in a state worse than death. Ye Feng left him on Earth to fend for himself.

After arriving at the Planet of Hope, Ye Feng lived a happy and carefree life with Amy and the others. Andrea and Chi Yan both became Ye Feng’s women as they had wished.

The Sky Dragon clan would visit periodically to conduct research with Ye Feng, hoping to understand the evolution of the Sky Dragons through him, but that is a story for another time.
