Ye Yingtang smiled kindly and asked gently, “Attorney Lu, are you satisfied with this office?”

Lu Yao stepped up to the window and looked out at the forest of towers in the CBD, her heart full of mixed emotions.

When she had just joined Wenjie Law Firm, the investigation into the killer had made no progress at all. Ye Yingtang understood the meaning behind her words. He patted Lu Yao on the shoulder and said with absolute authority, “Just work here with peace of mind and help build a solid foundation for the Ye Group. As for everything else, you needn’t worry. As long as I remain with the Ye Group, no one will dare say anything unfriendly to you.”

“Mr. Ye, you’re too good to me. Thank you so much.” Lu Yao bowed to Ye Yingtang in gratitude.

Ye Yingtang smiled indulgently.

The atmosphere was exceedingly harmonious.

Ye Hua and Yang Lan, standing to the side, did not dare say a single word, afraid of angering Ye Yingtang again. Especially Ye Hua, who was seething with resentment yet could not utter even one word. Furious, she clutched Yang Lan tightly, hatred plainly visible in the depths of her eyes.
