Chapter 063: Utterly Vulgar
If not for the memories of his past life, Lin Feng would have gone over to help without a second thought. But after spending years struggling at the bottom of the entertainment world, he had seen too much scheming and deception. In this arena of fame and profit, one had to be vigilant at every turn.
Especially tonight—everything about this situation was suspicious. He and Feng Yao had only met once, yet she was suddenly offering herself to him. Who knew what sort of trap this was?
Just in case, Lin Feng turned on the recording function on his phone and slipped it into his pocket before stepping out of the bedroom.
The bathroom door stood open, the sound of running water filling the air, along with Feng Yao’s soft moans.
“It hurts... Lin Feng, come in and help me...”
He stood at the bathroom door without entering. The shower and the rest of the bathroom were divided by a frosted glass wall, and through it, Lin Feng could vaguely see a pale figure—Feng Yao, clearly wearing nothing at all.
“Lin Feng, I twisted my ankle. I can’t stand up...” Feng Yao must have heard his footsteps and called to him from inside.
“It’s not really convenient for me to help you like this. I’ll call a female staff member to come up and assist you.” Lin Feng considered for a moment before responding.
“Oh, come on! I’m in so much pain and you’re still worried about calling someone else? I’m not afraid of you seeing everything, so why are you?” Feng Yao complained.
“How about this: you wrap yourself in a towel first, and then I’ll come in to help you out.” Lin Feng took a clean towel and handed it into the bathroom.
“So my body isn’t the least bit attractive to you?” Feng Yao took the towel with a look of injured grievance.
“I already have a girlfriend. You coming into my room to use my bathroom is already pushing things. We should keep our distance—no need to cause a misunderstanding,” Lin Feng said.
“I didn’t take you for someone so loyal.” Feng Yao snorted coldly. “All right, you can come in now.”
Lin Feng grunted in acknowledgment and entered the bathroom, but the sight that greeted him made it impossible to remain calm.
This woman...
Absolutely shameless...
Damn it!
He’d given her the towel for decency’s sake, not for her to wrap around her hair...
Feng Yao had only used the towel to cover her wet hair; her body was entirely exposed, nothing left to the imagination—every curve and contour on display.
“You...” Lin Feng was at a loss for words. He’d witnessed all sorts of seduction tactics, but never something so blunt and brazen. Most women, even when being forward, retained a bit of modesty; at most they’d drop a few hints. But Feng Yao was playing by no rules at all!
“Well? Isn’t my figure just as good as Qin Ruolin’s?” Feng Yao gazed at him, eyes brimming with flirtation, a hand trailing suggestively across her chest.
“Have some self-respect!” Lin Feng barked, his expression cold.
“Oh, enough with the act! I know exactly what’s going through a man’s mind. You’re just worried someone might find out, aren’t you? Don’t worry—I won’t tell anyone. This will be our little secret.” As she spoke, Feng Yao stood up, draped her arms around Lin Feng’s neck, and looked into his eyes, her breath warm as she whispered, “Would you rather do it here or on the bed?”
“I’d rather you get out!” Lin Feng shoved her away with a frosty glare. “I don’t care what your motive is, but let me make it clear—you’ve got the wrong person!”
With that, he turned and left the bathroom.
“Lin Feng, stop pretending to be so upright! You should be grateful I even bothered with you—there are plenty of men who’d kill for a chance with me! Don’t be so ungrateful!” Feng Yao shouted after him.
“Then go find one of those men. I’m not interested.” Lin Feng walked to the door and pulled it open. “Goodbye.”
“Fine! If you dare throw me out, from this moment on we’re enemies. Don’t say I didn’t warn you!” Feng Yao, now wrapped in the towel, glared at him furiously.
“I’ve got plenty of enemies. One more makes no difference.”
Lin Feng couldn’t be bothered to argue further. He barked, “Get out!”
“Fine! Remember this, Lin Feng!” Feng Yao shot him a venomous look, then stormed out, slamming the door behind her.
After seeing her off, Lin Feng let out a long breath. He still wasn’t sure what Feng Yao’s true intentions were, but he was certain this was no simple matter...
Feng Yao didn’t return to her own room. Instead, she knocked on another door.
“Is it done?” The man who opened the door was none other than Sun Hao, the one who had challenged Lin Feng to the PK.
“You’re really that eager to see me sleep with another man?” Feng Yao shot Sun Hao a withering look and stepped inside.
Sun Hao frowned but said nothing, closing the door behind her.
Feng Yao went straight to the living room, sat on the sofa, picked up a pack of cigarettes from the coffee table, and lit one.
“That Lin Feng—is he even a normal man?” she muttered, taking a drag.
“So you failed?” Sun Hao’s face was grim.
Feng Yao nodded. “I stripped completely and he didn’t even react—just threw me out. I’m starting to think he swings the other way.”
“No reaction at all?” Sun Hao pressed.
“He yelled at me, that’s all.” Feng Yao blew a smoke ring and glanced at Sun Hao. “Why don’t you try seducing him yourself? Maybe he really does prefer men.”
“Cut the crap. I’m not in the mood for your jokes,” Sun Hao snapped, his face dark.
“Come on, Hao, don’t get mad. I was just kidding.” Seeing he was actually angry, Feng Yao quickly tried to placate him.
Sun Hao ignored her for a while, then finally asked, “So you got nothing useful out of him?”
“I did overhear him singing a few lines—probably something he wrote for the competition,” said Feng Yao.
“How did it sound? Sing it for me,” Sun Hao asked, eyes lighting up.
“I couldn’t hear it clearly—he was in the bedroom, I was in the bathroom. I just remember something about youth being like a rushing river, never to return, or something like that...” Feng Yao tried to recall.
“Youth is like a rushing river, never to return?” Sun Hao laughed. “Lyrics that blunt? Sounds like a tacky, melodramatic piece of trash.”
“Exactly. You really don’t need to worry about him. Even if I didn’t throw him off, and even if we don’t get our hands on his work, he won’t come up with anything good.” Feng Yao scoffed.
Sun Hao nodded. “With lyrics that corny, there’s no way it’s anything decent.”
“Well, at least you didn’t come away empty-handed. Let me give you a proper reward!” Sun Hao, now in high spirits, yanked the towel off Feng Yao...
