Soon, the news of Wang Chunsheng’s arrest by the police exploded across the media. Netizens cheered in delight. Lin Feng’s social media was once again flooded with posts, all repeating the words “Justice has been served.” With the release of the conflict videos, public opinion surrounding the incident shifted dramatically.

“As a man, I have to say Lin Feng did the right thing!”
“If your girlfriend gets hurt and you don't even react, are you still a man?”
“Raging for the sake of beauty! With Lin Feng’s resolve, we fans can rest easy knowing Queen Qin is in good hands.”
“Did you notice how amazing Lin Feng’s fighting skills are? He single-handedly defeated twenty people! If the police hadn’t released the footage, I’d have thought it was a movie scene!”
“Seriously, Lin Feng’s moves are as impressive as any martial arts star! He’s ridiculously talented—not just great at sports, but at fighting too. And on top of all that, he’s incredibly handsome. What more could anyone ask for?”
“...”

On the flight from Beicheng to Jiangning, Lin Feng sat with a blanket draped over him, eyes closed, resting. A beautiful flight attendant passed by, paused, and carefully adjusted the blanket over Lin Feng’s shoulders. Her movements were gentle, but Lin Feng wasn’t sleeping. He opened his eyes.

“Sorry, I didn’t mean to wake you,” the flight attendant apologized as soon as Lin Feng looked up.

“It’s alright, I wasn’t asleep,” Lin Feng replied, rubbing his temples. He was exhausted, yet sleep continued to elude him.

“How much longer until we reach Jiangning?” Lin Feng asked.

“Thirty-five minutes,” she replied after checking the time, then hesitated before asking, “Um, are you Lin Feng?”

“Yes, I am,” Lin Feng smiled at her.

“Hello, my name is Shen Mengfei. It’s a pleasure to meet you on this flight.” Shen Mengfei smiled and extended her right hand.

Lin Feng was surprised—he’d expected her to ask for an autograph, not introduce herself.

“Oh, nice to meet you.” Lin Feng shook her hand lightly, then released it.

“We’ve shaken hands, so I guess we’re acquainted now. If you need anything, just call me.” Shen Mengfei flashed a brilliant smile and walked away.

Watching her graceful figure, Lin Feng felt a bit dazed. There was something odd about this flight attendant.

“Alright, enough staring. Don’t forget, you’ve got a superstar waiting for you.” Zhou Mingxuan, who sat beside Lin Feng, nudged him with envy. “You’re really lucky with the ladies. I’ve been watching—Shen Mengfei is the prettiest flight attendant on the plane. Tons of male passengers try to chat her up, but she ignores them all. Yet she approached you first.”

“Really? Am I that charming?” Lin Feng laughed.

“No kidding.” Zhou Mingxuan rolled his eyes, then offered a fawning smile. “Hey, Lin Feng, how about this? Why don’t you ask her for her contact info?”

“Huh? Why would I do that? I don’t have any other motives,” Lin Feng shrugged.

“You might not, but your brother does! Get her contact info for me and I’ll treat you to a feast.” Zhou Mingxuan said.

“Alright,” Lin Feng considered, “but I get to choose the restaurant.”

“No problem. Any place in Jiangning, you pick.” Zhou Mingxuan declared proudly.

“Deal!”

They slapped hands, both glancing toward the service cabin—and just then, Shen Mengfei returned.

“I almost forgot something,” she said, stopping next to Lin Feng and handing him a card. “This is my contact info. Be sure to call me!”

With that, she walked away again.

“Uh...” Lin Feng stared at the card in surprise. Before he could even ask, she’d handed over her contact information.

“She’s obviously interested in you,” Zhou Mingxuan said, disappointed. “Looks like I won’t get a chance after all.”

“You never know until you try.” Lin Feng passed the card to Zhou Mingxuan. “Don’t forget, you owe me a meal.”

Zhou Mingxuan accepted the card, though his enthusiasm had waned. For the rest of the flight, Shen Mengfei did not appear again.

The plane landed.

Outside the airport, crowds of fans waited, eager to welcome their hero home. After all, this was Jiangning’s first championship title—a momentous event for the entire city.

After fighting his way through the throngs, Lin Feng finally reunited with his father, Lin Changdong, who had come to pick him up.

With the league season over, the players were now on vacation, so once the plane landed, the team dispersed.

“Son, you did great!” Lin Changdong greeted Lin Feng with a warm embrace.

“Of course! I couldn’t let my old man down,” Lin Feng grinned.

“Haha, that’s what I like to hear!” Lin Changdong grabbed Lin Feng’s luggage. “Come on, your mother and Wenwen are waiting at home for you to start dinner!”

“Perfect, I’m starving. It’s been ages since I tasted Mom’s cooking.”

Lin Feng got into the car with his father, the two chatting happily all the way home.

As soon as Lin Feng opened the door and stepped inside, his sister Lin Wen rushed over.

“Brother, you’re finally home! I missed you so much!” Lin Wen hugged Lin Feng’s neck, standing on tiptoe to kiss his cheek.

“You’re a grown girl now—stop being silly!” Lin Changdong scolded, glaring at Lin Wen.

“So old-fashioned!” Lin Wen pouted at him. “In America, this is just a normal greeting.”

“You little rascal, you didn’t learn much except for these things,” Lin Changdong grumbled.

Lin Wen ignored him, turning to Lin Feng. “Brother, is it true you’re dating Qin Ruolin? I saw the videos online—you fought off more than twenty guys for her!”

“Is gossip popular in America too?” Lin Feng joked, setting his luggage aside.

“Come on, tell me! So many classmates called to ask me!” Lin Wen shook Lin Feng’s arm, pressing for answers.

“If that’s the case, I definitely can’t tell you~!” Lin Feng shrugged, changed his shoes, and called out to his mother, Guo Shuzhen, who was busy in the kitchen. “Mom, I’m home!”

“Dinner’s almost ready!” Guo Shuzhen’s voice came from the kitchen.

“Brother, tell me!” Lin Wen chased after Lin Feng, hungry for gossip.

Lin Feng affectionately patted Lin Wen’s head, sidestepping the question. “You’ve gotten taller—looks like the food in America agrees with you.”

“Brother, if you don’t tell me, I’ll ignore you!” Lin Wen pouted.

“Alright, alright, it’s true,” Lin Feng relented. He didn’t mean to lie, but his little sister was too nosy. If Lin Feng told her the real story and she shared it with her classmates, who knows how far the news would spread.
