As the two appeared in a space that was both unfamiliar and yet tinged with a sense of familiarity, Zhenyuanzi swept his gaze across the blessed land and immediately noticed its peculiarities. “It seems I have underestimated the power of the spirit of the earth’s veins,” he remarked.

“Senior brother, you aren’t well-versed in the Dao of Heaven and Earth, so you didn’t notice. That spirit of the earth’s veins contains the force of the laws of Heaven and Earth, perfectly attuned to this blessed land. That’s why the land has taken on its current form,” Yi Jian explained.

Zhenyuanzi feigned indignation. “Ah, junior brother, you saw this from the start and said nothing, didn’t you? You wanted to see me make a fool of myself!”

Yi Jian spread his hands in innocence. “But I’ve told you now, haven’t I?”

“You sly one. Very well, I yield. Show me your true abilities, then!”

“Watch closely, senior brother,” Yi Jian said, and with those words, he closed his eyes. Spiritual power surged from him, and above his head, a massive spiritual root began to coalesce. Initially, it appeared somewhat ethereal, but as time passed, it gradually took on a tangible, authentic form.

Zhenyuanzi studied Yi Jian, noting that he remained unchanged, just as he had before. He was nothing like those innate or acquired beings whose spiritual roots manifested in physical form—those could only choose between their true body or the Dao body when revealing themselves.

“How extraordinary,” Zhenyuanzi muttered, marveling at the wonder of this race, created by the ancient predecessor.

At that moment, Zhenyuanzi longed to meet Qingxuan, to see for himself how far the creator of such a miraculous spirit clan had progressed in cultivation.

Yet the spectacle was not over. As the spiritual root fully formed, Yi Jian’s eyes snapped open. He shouted, “Go!”

The enormous spiritual root descended to the center of the blessed land, taking root instantly and merging completely with the land. Zhenyuanzi sensed something different.

“This is incredible—the effect is even stronger than that of a solitary spiritual root. It draws the essence of the earth and even the primordial chaos more effectively, and the transformation of spiritual energy is superior as well!”

As Zhenyuanzi used his divine sense to fully understand the situation, he was shaken. “My clan was created by Father God, combining his path-seeking method and countless ages of comprehension. How could it be compared to a mere spiritual root? If it were so, why would Father God bother creating our clan instead of simply using the roots themselves?”

On hearing Yi Jian, Zhenyuanzi agreed. “Path-seeking method?” Zhenyuanzi asked, puzzled.

Yi Jian was equally at a loss; his knowledge came from the inheritance granted at birth. “You’ll need to ask Father God about this. As his disciple, you’ll surely learn it from him.”

With that, Yi Jian said no more, and Zhenyuanzi did not press him. He recalled Qingxuan’s earlier instructions to seek him at Buzhou Mountain once his tasks were finished, and anticipation stirred within him. This was the moment he had waited and worked for; it was almost a heart demon for him.

“This blessed land suits you perfectly, junior brother. In no time, it will surpass those that were established earlier,” Zhenyuanzi said, taking out the Earth Tome. It was inscribed with countless spots of mysterious yellow light, each representing a blessed land he had successfully founded. The Earth Tome was a treasure of heaven and earth, forged from the membrane of the primordial world, reflecting all the earth veins of the wilderness.

“With all matters here settled, I won’t linger. My master awaits me,” Zhenyuanzi said, bidding farewell after witnessing Yi Jian’s spirit clan techniques. He considered mentioning to Qingxuan that the spirit clan might assist him in the future, but then shook his head and smiled wryly.

‘The spirit clan was created by my master, not to serve me as helpers,’ he thought, quickly dismissing the idea and hurrying toward Buzhou Mountain.

Though he could travel via the earth veins with the Earth Tome, the distance to Buzhou Mountain remained vast.

As Zhenyuanzi pressed onward, he suddenly sensed a powerful aura descending upon him. Just as he prepared to resist, a familiar voice reached his ears. “Don’t resist. At your current pace, when will you ever arrive?”

Zhenyuanzi relaxed and breathed a sigh of relief. “Thank you, Master, for your consideration!” he exclaimed, bowing in gratitude.

He was then enveloped by a mighty force. A spatial passage opened before him, drawing him in. When he regained his senses, he was already atop Buzhou Mountain.

Gazing at the familiar courtyard, Zhenyuanzi’s heart burned with excitement. Ao Qing approached him. “Senior brother Zhenyuanzi, come with me. Master is waiting for you.”

Zhenyuanzi quickly followed Ao Qing, passing through the Green Lotus Dao Courtyard. They crossed several layers of wards and arrived beneath a towering green lotus that stood between heaven and earth.

In that moment, both felt a solemn atmosphere, scarcely daring to breathe as they awaited Qingxuan’s instructions.

While Zhenyuanzi pondered, Qingxuan’s figure suddenly appeared before them. At once, Zhenyuanzi recognized him as the true self, not a mere avatar as he had encountered before. There was a unique, serene, elegant aura about Qingxuan, along with an indescribable sense and a powerful presence unlike anything Zhenyuanzi had felt from Wu Yun and others.

“Very impressive. In such a short time, you have not only raised your strength to the peak of Golden Immortal of Primordial Chaos, but also comprehended the laws of earth completely. You have far surpassed my expectations, and now you have awakened your own Dao—with a great chance of achieving enlightenment!” Qingxuan said, scrutinizing Zhenyuanzi and seeing through his current state entirely.

Then Qingxuan looked at Zhenyuanzi with utmost seriousness and spoke solemnly. “You have reached this point, and in the future, you may even attain the same realm as I. Do you still uphold the decision you made at the beginning?”

Qingxuan waited for Zhenyuanzi’s answer. Zhenyuanzi, respectful and sincere, bowed deeply before Qingxuan and replied slowly, “I owe everything I am today to your guidance and support. To me, you have long since become the only master I acknowledge in this life.”

Zhenyuanzi looked at Qingxuan with unwavering sincerity, neither arrogant nor servile.

Qingxuan was deeply gratified. “Excellent, Zhenyuanzi. I have not misjudged you. In that case, I shall fulfill my promise and accept you as my personal disciple. Zhenyuanzi, are you willing?”

Zhenyuanzi laughed joyfully and bowed to Qingxuan. “Disciple Zhenyuanzi pays respects to Master!”
