Everything was proceeding according to plan.

Jane had entered Asgard, and the cursed warrior was imprisoned by Odin.

At the same time, Jane did not pass Odin’s test; he refused to acknowledge her identity or her worth.

Although Malekith was a tragedy, he was still better than another tragedy, Ronan, who lost his wits at a critical moment and was outwitted by a fool dancing in the square.

After the cursed warrior sabotaged Asgard’s defense system, the Dark Elves’ fleet launched a stealth assault.

Relying on their sensitivity to Aether particles, Malekith, despite never fully harnessing their power, had thought of a countermeasure after repeated Asgardian teleportation raids.

That was to conduct a counter-raid himself.

For this operation, he had made his own preparations.

Using the cursed warrior’s localized superiority to breach Asgard from within and create chaos, once the Nine Realms unified, he planned to immediately bring darkness back with the aid of Aether particles.

The Dark Elves still alive aboard their flagship were all elite warriors, and combined with the cursed warriors forged by the Curse Stone, he was quite confident.

“The Arrival of the Divine”

With the Aether particles as coordinates, and using the imprisoned cursed warrior who had familiarized himself with Asgard’s intelligence, Malekith dispatched his vast army employing cloaking technology to infiltrate Asgard.

At the moment the Dark Elf army arrived, the cursed warrior imprisoned in the dungeon transformed again, like a Super Saiyan.

“Roar—” In a furious outburst, the once weary and tortured warrior now seemed invigorated, as if energized by a potent tonic. Smoke billowed from his body; his form grew more formidable. With a single raised hand, he tore through the prison’s defenses, smashed the ground with immense force, and leapt out, crashing down upon the Asgardian guards.

Alarms blared immediately. Odin and Thor rushed to the dungeon upon sensing the disturbance.

Meanwhile, where Jane stood, a colossal Dark Elf warship descended from the sky.

“Oh, isn’t this the Queen? What’s this? Your husband left you here all alone?” Malekith stepped down from the ship and stared at Freyja, who was protecting Jane.

“Malekith!”

“Yes, Your Majesty,” Malekith said with a mocking bow. “I bring you greetings, and also a small request.”

He extended his hand toward Freyja. “Hand over the human behind you, then come with me aboard my ship.”

“I don’t know what your intentions are, nor how you appeared here, but this is Asgard. A thousand years ago, Odin defeated you; the same will happen now.”

Freyja’s words were filled with unyielding defiance as she shielded Jane.

“I have heard your demands,” Malekith responded with exaggerated courtesy. Then he glanced at Jane. “You truly are a pitiable girl, just like this great mother, having fallen in love with a man who never comes home. It’s truly heartbreaking...”

After a slight taunt at Freyja, Malekith raised his hand and summoned a line of Dark Elf warriors down from the ship.

“No matter what happens, before this war ends, I expect both ladies to remain aboard my ship.”

“What are your plans? What exactly do you intend to do?” Freyja’s face showed surprise. She kept a close eye on the cursed warriors disembarking from the ship, secretly casting protective spells over Jane.

“Looks like our queen has been in the palace too long. Odin has much he hasn’t told you yet, hasn’t he?”

With a languid tone, Malekith approached Freyja slowly. “But I suppose, after this... there may no longer be an Asgard at all.”

“Yes, if all goes well, Asgard will be lost forever.”

A voice not belonging to Jane spoke through her, drawing the attention of everyone in the room. Freyja spun around immediately, eyes wide with astonishment.

The girl before her seemed transformed.

Under everyone’s gaze, Jane raised her hand, and the cursed warriors advancing suddenly recoiled as if struck by an invisible force. Frost visibly crystallized on their bodies.

Then, in Jane’s hand appeared a longsword made entirely of condensed frost. Its dark blade shimmered with icy cold as she casually swung it, severing the heads of several cursed warriors.

Behind her, a massive surge of frost swelled.

“Frost Giants?”

Malekith and Freyja both stepped back. The chill and deathly cold radiating from Jane reminded them of another race.

The very enemy Asgard had long guarded against and fought: the Frost Giants.

Since most Dark Elf warriors were outside holding off Asgard’s soldiers, only Malekith had brought his elite here. He had not expected the appearance of Frost Giants.

It seemed Jane’s absorption of Aether particles was part of the Frost Giants’ plan. Malekith felt he had been outplayed.

Before the Dark Elves could react, Jane parted her lips and uttered a few syllables. Instantly, the cold surged violently.

A massive frost waterfall descended abruptly. Countless ghostly blue lights flickered as footsteps echoed, and a colossal obelisk emerged.

Within several hundred meters around Jane, defiling power and rune energy began to radiate. In moments, a vast army of Scourge warriors surrounded the Dark Elves.

The thunder of marching feet came in waves. Weapons clashed with the grinding of flesh and bone. Agonized wails echoed immediately within Asgard’s deep palace. Wave after wave of the Scourge poured forth from the obelisk of Kel’Thuzad, spreading rapidly.

“Return to death under the glory of our lord—maggots.”

Kel’Thuzad emerged slowly from the frost, arms outstretched.

The immense magic of the Spatial Gem filled his form. Overflowing with power, the surrounding air trembled. After replacing all his bones, a torrent of ghostly blue magic engulfed the Dark Elves before him.

The frost-covered ground quaked incessantly. Thick cracks snaked outward like a spiderweb, accompanied by continuous tremors.

“Crack, crack, crack—”

More Scourge warriors crawled up from the earth. Deathly energy awakened the fallen warriors and heroes within Asgard. Countless bone dragons, summoned by Sindragosa, the Mother of Bone Dragons, took flight.

“What... is happening?”

Freyja and Malekith were stunned.

Since when did the Frost Giants possess such power?

When did they become so formidable? Weren’t they always weak?

Moreover, they had thought Jane was a mere weakling, an ordinary human. But the way she wielded her sword was so skilled, her identity must be far from simple.

Freyja and Malekith fell silent simultaneously, then almost at the same moment, they charged toward her.

The Scourge army continued to gather, and horns sounded within the frost curtain.

Yet, compared to Freyja and Malekith’s astonishment, Thor was struggling greatly in battle, and Odin was racing swiftly back to the palace.

Meanwhile, Roald and Sindragosa appeared in Asgard’s treasury.

They headed straight for the Eternal Flame.

Their plan: take it and leave.
